In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Whether working in a bustling restaurant, hotel, catering event, or banquet setting, your contributions will help ensure that every meal is served with excellence. Responsibilities Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards and ensure availability for food service. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items under supervision. Support the culinary team during busy service times by bussing tables and clearing dishes promptly. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Help with catering setup and breakdown for events or banquets to ensure smooth service flow. Follow all food handling safety protocols and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and food service quality. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering, or banquet setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued. Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation standards is advantageous. Experience in food preparation or supporting culinary operations enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Prior work involving bussing tables or supporting food service teams demonstrates strong teamwork skills.
