Job Description

Maplewood Public House is seeking dedicated and efficient Dishwashers to join our kitchen team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position also includes responsibilities for cleaning and maintaining the dishwashing machine and the surrounding area, as well as the kitchen warehouse area to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using both manual and automated cleaning methods. Ensure all items are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly. Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the dishwasher. Sort and organize clean items in designated areas. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing area. Regularly clean and sanitize the dishwasher machine, including filters and spray arms, to ensure optimal performance. Clean and sanitize dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Assist kitchen staff in other cleaning and maintenance duties as needed. Empty and clean trash containers and remove waste from the kitchen. Follow all food safety regulations and kitchen safety guidelines. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; replace chemicals as needed Report any mechanical problems with dishwashing equipment to the supervisor promptly. Deep cleaning projects as assigned by supervisory staff
Qualifications:
Food Handler certification required within 30 days of hire Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods. Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude. Willingness to follow all sanitation and safety protocols.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
