Responsibilities Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support chefs and kitchen staff. Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain cleanliness in dining areas. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Follow manual handling protocols to lift heavy loads safely during cleaning and restocking tasks. Maintain strict sanitation standards in accordance with food safety management guidelines. Support overall kitchen cleanliness by cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas regularly. Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. Qualifications Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential! Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely. Basic understanding of operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and food prep tools. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions efficiently. Experience in catering, banquet service, hotel kitchens, or culinary environments is a plus but not mandatory.
