Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures. Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools promptly to ensure readiness for food preparation and service. Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations. Handle manual cleaning tasks including scrubbing, rinsing, and drying kitchen equipment and surfaces. Follow proper food handling protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintain sanitation standards. Support food preparation activities by organizing kitchen supplies and assisting with basic prep tasks as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by regularly sanitizing workstations, floors, and storage areas in compliance with kitchen health and safety standards. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous. Basic knife skills and knowledge of operating kitchen equipment are a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods is essential. Experience with catering or banquet service can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
