Job Description
Join the team at The Mette , Wilmette's newest cocktail and wine bar, where exceptional hospitality starts behind the scenes. We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Position Summary The Dishwasher plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen areas remain clean and sanitized. This position is essential to maintaining the high standards of quality and cleanliness that define The Mette experience. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area Assist with kitchen cleaning duties, including floors, trash removal, and sanitation tasks Ensure all cleaning and sanitation procedures meet health and safety standards Restock clean dishes, glassware, and kitchen supplies as needed Support kitchen staff with basic prep and organizational tasks when requested Maintain a positive attitude and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling Opportunity for growth within the company Employee discounts Positive, team-focused work environment The opportunity to be part of an exciting new hospitality concept from the ground up Schedule Part-time and full-time opportunities available Evening and weekend availability preferred The Mette is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace where every team member contributes to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
