Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following key job functions.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine. Cleans and restocks service bar area with glass ware. Washes pots, pans, and trays. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Washs worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans and floor mats. Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle crushing machine. Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions. Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Must be 18 years of age or older. Proficient in English verbal and written. Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays. Less than high school education, or up to one- month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Be gracious towards all guests and co-workers. Have an outgoing and enthusiastic attitude. Promote a positive influence in the community and company sponsored events.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. Able to read a limited number of two- three- syllable words and recognize similarities and differences. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively . Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period. Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period. Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
