Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep professional, where your energy and attention to detail will ensure a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety while supporting food preparation and service operations. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or catering operation. Responsibilities Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients to support culinary staff. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste properly to uphold sanitation standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and ensuring dining areas are tidy for guests. Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and manual handling tools. Follow proper food handling protocols to ensure safety and hygiene are maintained at all times. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies or equipment within the kitchen environment. Requirements Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is valued. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment operation are advantageous. Capable of heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during shifts. Demonstrated understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment. Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus, reflecting adaptability across various food service contexts.
