Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Dishwasher/Maintenance Associate, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This energetic position involves maintaining cleanliness standards, supporting food safety protocols, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks to uphold the highest levels of sanitation and operational excellence. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations. Duties Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures to maintain cleanliness standards. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients to support kitchen workflow. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and inviting for guests. Follow all food safety management practices and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances necessary for daily operations. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and storage spaces to uphold sanitation standards. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment while adhering to proper safety procedures to prevent injury. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in commercial kitchens. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and basic cooking tools is advantageous. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and maintaining a safe environment. Prior experience in catering, banquet service, hotel kitchens, or culinary settings is a plus but not mandatory.
