Duties Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen stations by regularly cleaning work areas, sinks, and dish racks. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing ingredients or preparing garnishes when needed. Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and efficiently during service hours. Help with light food handling and catering setup for events or banquet functions to ensure smooth operations. Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety compliance. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service. Requirements Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with cleaning procedures, food handling protocols, and sanitation standards. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy dish racks or moving supplies. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization. Excellent teamwork skills; willing to support colleagues in busy service periods. Basic understanding of kitchen safety practices and proper use of cleaning chemicals. Experience with banquet or catering environments is a plus but not mandatory.
