ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Dishwashing:
Operate dishwashing machines to clean plates, glasses, cutlery, and other kitchen equipment thoroughly.
Handwashing:
Hand wash and scrub pots, pans, and kitchen utensils that cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Organization:
Stack and store clean dishes and kitchen items in their designated places for easy access.
Sanitization:
Ensure that all dishes and utensils are properly sanitized and free from food residue, grease, and debris.
Cleaning Support:
Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, countertops, and workstations as needed, helping to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment.
Trash Removal:
Collect and dispose of kitchen trash and recycling, replacing garbage bags as necessary.
Assist Kitchen Team:
Support the kitchen staff by helping with basic food preparation and other tasks as requested.
Compliance:
Follow health and safety guidelines, as well as sanitation regulations, to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely dishwashing to keep up with the demands of a busy restaurant or establishment. Willing to take direction from kitchen staff and supervisors.
