What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant Comfortable staying busy and keeping the kitchen organized Able to lift approximately 40-50 lbs when necessary Comfortable standing for extended periods Willing to clean thoroughly—not just wash dishes Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team Restaurant experience is helpful but not required for the right person Important This is a Dishwasher / Kitchen Utility position, so responsibilities include general back-of-house cleaning, trash removal, organization, and kitchen support in addition to dishwashing. Skills Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized throughout the shift Return clean dishes, pans, and equipment to their proper locations Take out trash and replace trash liners as needed Break down and dispose of boxes Sweep and mop kitchen and back-of-house floors Clean sinks, drains, walls, shelving, and designated kitchen areas Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment during closing Help maintain clean and sanitary work areas throughout the day Restock kitchen supplies and clean equipment as needed Assist with receiving and organizing supplies when needed Perform light food-prep duties when assigned and properly trained Assist with fryer/oil cleaning and filtering after proper training Complete assigned opening, throughout-the-day, and closing cleaning duties Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures Assist the Lead Cook and kitchen team with additional utility/cleaning duties as needed Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards Experience with dishwashing techniques and operating commercial kitchen equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic food handling skills with an understanding of proper hygiene practices Strong attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining a hygienic workspace Excellent teamwork skills; able to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude is essential Join us in creating a vibrant culinary environment where your dedication ensures our guests enjoy top-quality service!
