Job Overview House of Noodles at Newton Centre is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher to join our team! You will help will keep our culinary operations running smoothly. In this vital role, you will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness standards, and assist with basic kitchen tasks to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and are a dependable team player, we'd love to hear from you. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and cooks Operate dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste properly Handle manual lifting of supplies, dishes, and equipment safely in accordance with heavy lifting guidelines Follow food safety management standards to ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients and supplies Support overall sanitation efforts to uphold kitchen health and safety standards Experience Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; Familiarity with basic food handling procedures and sanitation practices is advantageous Experience operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or prep stations is a plus Able to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Weekend and holiday availability is preferred Good communication skills
Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
