Job Description:

Employees in this position will have a primary set of Essential Functions as Dishwashers or Wait Staff and will cross train the other functions so they can fill in when needed.

Dishwasher:

Clean dishes by scraping and putting them through the dishwasher. Sort clean dishes and transport to the storage area. Follows all proper procedures for sorting all dishes and flatware. Understands and follows all sanitation regulations and proper use of equipment.

Other:

May assist cook with other duties related to food preparation. The position is also responsible for assisting in the set up and food service for special events.

Requirements:

Previous food service experience is preferred but not required. The person able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, sufficient to understand and be understood by residents and to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. The majority of the day is spent standing and the incumbent is also required to bend, stoop and walk intermittently, work in extreme heat, balance, pull, push, and reach. Must be able to lift heavy, hot objects up to 50 pounds.
