This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cookware are sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will support food service operations by upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality settings is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience and develop skills in food handling, cleaning, and basic food preparation. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, and pans efficiently Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas as needed Support food preparation tasks such as basic chopping or ingredient setup under supervision Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, including floors, counters, and equipment Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times Support catering events or banquet setups by providing timely dishwashing services Ensure all items are stored correctly after cleaning to prevent cross-contamination Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours Skills Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; banquet or hotel experience is a plus Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Basic understanding of food handling safety protocols Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work well as part of a team within a hospitality or culinary environment Flexibility to adapt to different shifts or busy periods in the restaurant or catering operations This role provides an excellent foundation for those interested in pursuing careers in culinary arts, hospitality, or food service management.
