Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
- Sweep or scrub floors
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment
- Assist kitchen staff with various tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or hospitality setting preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
Skills:
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors
- Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
