Job Description
Pepper's Landing Old Town Maine location is building their team. We are currently in search of a culinary passionate individual to work as Dishwasher/Prep. We source many of our ingredients from local purveyors and use only the highest quality available. Many opportunities for growth with this position. We reward and promote from within for individuals that show the desire to learn and grow. The Dishwasher/Prep position must be able to work quickly to the set specifications and standards while maintaining hygienic practices. S/he also arranges, prepares and breaks down the stations of the kitchen, storage areas and refrigerators. And makes sure all are maintained at the beginning and end of every day/night. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Operating industrial dishwashers and hand-washing large pots, pans, and utensils. Sorting, stacking, and storing clean dishes, glasses, and silverware in appropriate areas. Adhering to health and safety regulations, including cleaning dish machines, emptying trash cans, and maintaining clean floors. Assisting with food prep, unloading deliveries, and helping other staff during busy shifts. Prepare a variety of foods; meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items. Cover, date and correctly store all bits and pieces and food prep items. Serve menu items compliant with established standards. Use food preparation tools in accordance with manufactures instructions. Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times. Keep the work area fresh all through the shift. Make sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately. Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices. Returns dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas. Assist with all duties as assigned.
