Responsibilities Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, sinks, and storage areas, adhering to sanitation standards Assist with bussing tables and clearing food service areas to support overall restaurant cleanliness and guest satisfaction Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots, boxes of supplies, or trash disposal with proper technique to ensure safety Operate basic kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools in accordance with health and safety standards Support food preparation activities by organizing clean utensils and assisting with light food handling tasks as needed Follow all kitchen health and safety protocols to uphold sanitation standards and prevent cross-contamination Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to kitchen health and safety standards Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting the culinary team Basic knife skills or familiarity with operating kitchen equipment is a plus but not mandatory Commitment to maintaining a safe environment by following all food safety regulations and protocols Join us in creating memorable dining experiences by ensuring our kitchen remains spotless and safe!
