Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment for food preparation and service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help maintain high standards of sanitation, food safety, and kitchen hygiene. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen operations while supporting a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven commitment to timliness, hustle, safety, and teamwork, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures to ensure cleanliness and safety. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and organizing supplies to support kitchen workflow. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen, maintenance, and dumpster areas by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste in accordance with sanitation standards. Support bussing duties, when requested, by clearing tables promptly and assisting with resetting dining areas to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests. Follow food safety management practices by adhering to proper food handling protocols and sanitizing procedures at all times. Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, ovens, mixers, and other small appliances. Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots or boxes of supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques to prevent injury. Skills Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic culinary skills. Strong understanding of cleaning and sanitation standards within a commercial kitchen environment. Experience in bussing tables or supporting food service operations preferred. Familiarity with food safety and sanitizing procedures, and kitchen health standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing. Competence in operating various kitchen equipment with attention to safety protocols. Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in fast-paced settings. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
