PM Steward/Dishwasher Blue Hills Country Club - 3.4 Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time $16 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Pre-cooking preparation Inventory control Dishwashing Food preparation Clean workspace maintenance Full Job Description Kitchen Steward Wednesday- Sunday 5pm-Midnight Off Monday & Tuesday The steward is responsible for cleaning the food delivery, storage, preparation and disposal areas. The steward is responsible for all washing of china, glassware, hollowware, trays, platters, silverware, and cooking utensils and equipment and the proper storage of said items. Job Tasks 1) Performs necessary clean-up and sanitation maintenance activities for the food preparation and storage facilities 2) Washes all wares in dishwasher or by hand according to the highest sanitation standards 3) Collects trash from kitchen areas; empties garbage cans and washes and re-lines with new bags, breaks down all boxes, crates and removes debris. 4) Cleans food production, holding, and serving equipment. 5) Examines garbage for misplaced silverware, dishes, glassware, any kitchen small wares and any other usable items. 6) Washes and polishes all stainless steel in the kitchen including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, coffee area, refrigerators, walk-ins etc. 7) Washes and cleans receiving, trash, bathrooms, and other kitchen related areas. 8) Sweeps and mops all kitchen, storage, production areas including men's and women's locker rooms. 9) Stores all dishes and wares in proper areas. 10) Cleans dish machine, dish area and pot and pan area after each meal service. 11) Performs other tasks such as assisting in food preparation, storing of food after delivery, and the cleaning of coolers, freezers, and store rooms. 12) Maintains inventories of soap, cleaning chemicals, and towels. 13) Handles all china and glassware carefully to minimize breakage. 14) Continuously inspects floors in kitchen areas to assure they remain clean, dry and free of debris. 15) Assists in completing weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance lists. 16) Cleans and safely stores all brooms, mops, squeegees, mop buckets and other cleaning equipment in proper places. 17) Monitors garbage area and grease dump to make sure all areas are clean free of debris and lids closed so as to inhibit pests. 18) Uses all chemical cleaning supplies in a safe and careful manner. 19) Helps food server by prioritizing the washing of specified items for service. 20) Understands and consistently follows proper sanitation practices including personal hygiene. 21) Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the
