Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant preschool team as a Part-Time Dishwasher and Building Help! In this energetic role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors. Your efforts will ensure that kitchen areas are sanitized to the highest standards, food service operations run smoothly, and the facility remains organized and hygienic. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a nurturing educational setting while developing valuable skills in sanitation, food safety, and facility support. Duties Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following proper food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support meal service for preschool children Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces, adhering to sanitation standards Support with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during snack and meal times Help with manual handling tasks such as moving supplies, cleaning equipment, and organizing storage areas safely Operate kitchen equipment responsibly, including dishwashers and other small appliances Ensure the building's common areas are tidy and safe by assisting with light cleaning and organization tasks Requirements Previous experience in food handling or food service environments is preferred; restaurant or catering experience is a plus Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sanitizing tools Strong attention to health and safety standards within a kitchen or hospitality setting Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting staff and children Prior experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous but not required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic preschool environment while gaining hands-on experience in food safety and facility support.
