Responsibilities Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using manual cleaning techniques or dishwashing machines Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet sanitation standards and prevent cross-contamination Assist with food preparation by organizing clean utensils and ingredients as needed for kitchen staff Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers and other cleaning tools, adhering to health and safety standards Handle heavy lifting of large pots, trays, and bulk supplies with proper manual handling techniques Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area by regularly sanitizing surfaces, floors, and storage spaces Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are advantageous Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards and adhering to health regulations Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting busy kitchen operations Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus but not mandatory Embark on your hospitality journey with us!
