Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware are cleaned according to food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, supporting the culinary team in meal assembly and ingredient handling. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, sinks, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station promptly. Follow manual handling guidelines for heavy lifting of large pots, trays, and bulk supplies safely and effectively. Adhere strictly to food safety management protocols and kitchen health and safety standards at all times. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances with care and precision. Experience Previous food service experience or hospitality background is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous. Experience working in restaurant or catering environments helps in understanding fast-paced kitchen dynamics. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
