Dishwasher Job Overview:
LGC Hospitality Staffing is hiring dependable Dishwashers to support hotels, hospitals, schools, and event-based food service operations. This is a temporary, on-call position ideal for individuals who are reliable, work with urgency, and can handle fast-paced kitchen environments. This is a physically demanding role. You will be on your feet for the entire shift, working in a hot, wet environment, and expected to keep up with a constant flow of dishes during peak service times.
Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using dish machines or by hand Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish and kitchen areas Ensure all items are properly sanitized and stored Remove trash and maintain clean workstations throughout shifts Assist with basic kitchen support tasks as needed (restocking, sweeping, mopping) Keep up with high-volume dish flow during peak service times Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines Follow direction from kitchen staff, supervisors, and client managers Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work
Work Environments:
Hotels (kitchens and banquet operations) Hospitals (cafeterias and patient dining) Schools and universities (cafeterias, dining halls) Event venues and catering operations
Requirements:
Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred, but not required Ability to stand for long periods and work in hot, wet environments Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs and handle continuous physical activity Ability to work quickly and stay organized in fast-paced settings Strong work ethic and ability to take direction Reliable transportation to various job sites Flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed) Dependable attendance and professional attitude
