Dishwasher Team Member

Applications placed through Indeed only will not be considered.•A Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining order in our dish room, laundry facilities, and supporting staff across the market. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, washing and storing dishes, maintaining an organized dish room, doing laundry, breaking down cardboard, taking out trash and recycling, putting away kitchen orders, sweeping and mopping floors, and other tasks as specified. Dishwashers are a part of the Kitchen Team. Like all staff, they are expected to uphold our core values at all times. This position can be part-time or full-time, and generally requires some weekend or holiday work. Shift times are 6am-2pm and 2pm-8:30pm. Regularly scheduled shifts are preferred. This position reports directly to the Prepared Foods Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Dishwashing:

Cleans and sanitizes dishes and kitchen supplies; ensures dish machine is maintained according to instructions; keeps dish room organized and clean; adheres to policies around maintaining a clean and sanitary work space Helps with Kitchen Tasks +

Packaging of Food:

Bulks, labels, and stocks prepared foods items as needed; helps unpack and store deliveries

Cardboard, Trash, Recycling:

Breaks down and recycles cardboard, takes out trash and recycling daily

Laundry:

Cleans towels, aprons, and mop heads throughout the day; folds aprons and towels; ensures items are stored properly

Schedule:

Shift times are 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-8:30pm

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand for duration of shift. Must have mobility and dexterity required for tasks such as scrubbing, lifting, folding, using a broom or mop, and operating essential equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in hot environments. Must be able to work in cold environments for a short period of time (i.e. reorganizing the Walk-In Cooler or Walk-In Freezer). Gloves, hats, snowsuits, and other protective gear provided by Chicory Market.

CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS

Clothing should cover the torso, groin, and buttocks in entirety Shirts must have sleeves (no tank tops) Non-slip, closed-toe shoes are required A hat, hairnet, or other head covering is required (Chicory hat provided) In addition to a head covering, hair longer than 2 inches must be tied back or otherwise contained Staff with facial hair may be asked to wear a beard net Must wear apron (Chicory apron provided)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Pay range : $16-$20/hr

Health Insurance :

If full-time, eligible for Blue Cross Blue Shield plan at 40% of premium costs, with Chicory covering the remaining 60%
