Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Food Prep to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and meal service. Duties Clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipes and safety protocols. Support meal preparation by assembling ingredients and preparing basic components of dishes under supervision. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including countertops, floors, storage spaces, and food prep zones. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools. Follow food safety management practices to ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued! Familiarity with menu planning and food preparation techniques is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food safety standards, and safe operation of kitchen equipment is essential. Basic culinary skills such as knife handling, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence are advantageous. Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrates strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to follow safety standards in production environments while maintaining high-quality food handling practices.
