Responsibilities Responsible for thoroughly cleaning dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup to support chefs and kitchen staff Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas remain tidy and welcoming Follow strict food safety management practices to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with sanitation standards Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning tools while adhering to health and safety standards Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies safely to prevent injury while maintaining efficiency Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment through regular sanitation routines and adherence to all food safety protocols Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety procedures, and kitchen health standards is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Basic knife skills or familiarity with food handling is a plus but not mandatory Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations About Grouchy Grizzly.
