Dishwasher/Food Prep

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. You will assist in the preparation of meals, maintain cleanliness, and support the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food service and a commitment to providing high-quality hospitality. We need someone mornings 5 days a week on prep and an occasional dishwashing shift evenings or mornings. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Support chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes. Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards. Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service periods. Participate in catering events or banquets as required, ensuring all food is presented attractively. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and other team members. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and service. Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods during shifts.
