Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep! This energetic role is vital to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are spotless and ready for use, while assisting with food preparation to support smooth meal service. Responsibilities Operate dishwashing machines and hand-wash items as needed, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cookware are sanitized according to food safety protocols Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipe adherence and culinary standards Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning workstations, equipment, floors, and storage areas regularly Support meal prep activities by organizing ingredients and supplies for efficient kitchen operation Follow safety standards in production, including proper handling of food products and operating kitchen equipment safely Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food prep and ensure timely delivery of meals Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels or shortages Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and operating kitchen equipment such as slicers or knives is advantageous Knowledge of food safety management practices including proper hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, and temperature control Prior catering or culinary experience showcasing knife skills, slicing techniques, and meal preparation skills is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and ensure smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry who want to build their culinary experience while contributing to a vibrant team.
