This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in dietary or restaurant settings, is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to excellence in meal preparation and service. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following established health and safety guidelines Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including ingredient handling and meal assembly Support the kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness of workstations and storage areas Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with facility policies Follow all food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure a safe dining environment Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of supplies that need replenishing Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to sanitation standards throughout shifts Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or culinary environments is preferred Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation procedures Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous Strong knife skills and experience with food industry standards are desirable Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude toward serving others This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining culinary experience or pursuing a career in the food industry.
