In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Your dedication will help create a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors, supporting seamless food preparation, catering, and hospitality services. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational culinary skills while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Responsibilities Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools to uphold hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas to ensure a safe working environment. Mop bathrooms and dining rooms, stock soaps and paper supplies as needed. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients with care. Support catering and banquet setups by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use. Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage waste disposal and recycling processes effectively. Perform routine cleaning duties during shifts to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in all food service areas. Skills Strong understanding of cleaning protocols within a food service or hospitality environment. Experience with bussing tables and supporting food service operations in restaurants or hotels. Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and food handling safety practices. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings during busy service hours or events such as banquets. Familiarity with catering setups and maintaining cleanliness during large-scale functions. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary staff and servers. Basic culinary experience or restaurant background is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
