Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Helper / Prep / Dish Washer to join our dynamic culinary team. This vital role supports the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meal service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment to meet sanitation standards Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently to ensure a steady flow of clean items for cooking and serving Support the culinary team with food handling and storage to ensure freshness and safety Follow food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times during food handling and cleaning processes Help with organizing kitchen supplies, ingredients, and inventory management Contribute to meal preparation and catering setups as needed to support various service requirements Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or food service environment is preferred Familiarity with food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards Basic knife skills and experience in food preparation or cooking are advantageous Knowledge of menu planning, meal assembly, or culinary experience is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations Prior restaurant or food industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory Join us in creating a welcoming environment where quality food and excellent service come together!
