About Haraz Paterson Haraz Paterson is more than just a café—it's a celebration of Yemeni heritage and coffee craftsmanship. Known for our premium, sun-dried organic coffee sourced directly from the Haraz Mountains of Yemen, we blend tradition with innovation to offer authentic drinks like Adeni chai, Jubani coffee, and Turkish coffee alongside modern favorites like pistachio lattes and refreshing frappes. We are redefining coffee culture while supporting Yemeni farmers and communities. Duties Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold health standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing ingredients and cleaning workstations. Maintain a clean coffee shop including floors, tables, and outside seating area. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items during busy service periods. Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety compliance. Contribute to overall kitchen cleanliness through regular cleaning duties and waste disposal. Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, food handling safety standards, and sanitation practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations. Experience with bussing tables or assisting in food preparation is a plus; banquet or catering experience is advantageous. Familiarity with hospitality or hotel environments can be beneficial but is not mandatory. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced setting.
