Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher and Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team. In this essential role, you will maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen while assisting the culinary team with daily ingredient prep. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, works well under pressure, and is motivated to keep our food service operations running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
Dishwashing & Sanitation:

Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using our commercial dishwasher or by hand.

Food Preparation:

Assist the kitchen team by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning raw ingredients according to instructions and recipes.

Kitchen Maintenance:

Maintain clean, safe, and dry kitchen floors by sweeping, squeegeeing, and mopping regularly throughout the shift.

Waste Management:

Empty kitchen trash receptacles, replace liners, and break down cardboard boxes safely.

Inventory Handling:

Assist in receiving, organizing, and properly rotating food deliveries (First-In, First-Out method).

Safety Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all local health department regulations, safety protocols, and food handling standards.

Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:

Previous experience as a dishwasher or kitchen prep cook is a plus, but we are fully willing to train anyone with a strong work ethic.

Skills:

Basic knife handling skills are preferred but can be taught. Must be able to follow verbal directions in a loud, fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, bend, and move for the entire shift, and comfortably lift and carry up to 50 lbs (such as bags of ice, potatoes, or dish racks).
