Responsibilities Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen utensils using proper cleaning procedures. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, sinks, floors, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards. Assist with bussing tables and clearing plates during busy service periods to support overall restaurant flow. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Handle manual tasks such as stacking dishes, organizing supplies, and moving heavy items with proper lifting techniques. Support food preparation activities when needed, including assisting with basic food handling and prep tasks under supervision. Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards within a kitchen setting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks efficiently. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning tools is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail to ensure all dishes and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support colleagues during high-volume service times.
