POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Runner / Kitchen Assistant to support our chef and kitchen team while helping keep the dining room clean and running smoothly. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who is comfortable moving between the kitchen and dining room throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well under pressure, pays attention to detail, and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Kitchen Support Assist the chef with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks Help organize and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen Retrieve and put away ingredients, supplies, and equipment Assist with plating and running food when needed Keep work areas clean and sanitized Take out trash and recycling as needed Dining Room Support Clear dining room tables Bring used dishes, glasses, and utensils to the dishwashing area Keep dining areas clean and presentable Assist front-of-house staff when needed Help maintain a smooth flow between the kitchen and dining room Dishwashing Wash dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment Load and unload the dishwasher Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized Make sure wine and cocktail glasses are thoroughly polished Put clean dishes and equipment away properly Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required Must be dependable and able to work as part of a team Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks Ability to lift, carry, bend, and move throughout the shift Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

This position is an important part of keeping both the kitchen and dining room operating efficiently. Scheduling will be 15-20 hours per week with an opportunity to increase hours over time.
