$15/hr Job Summary We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Dishwasher to join the Opus kitchen team. This role is one of the most essential in the building—without a clean, fully stocked dish pit, the entire operation stops. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, and takes genuine pride in keeping the kitchen running at its best. At Opus, every role matters, and the Dishwasher is a valued and respected member of our culinary team. Key Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and return all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and to a high standard throughout the shift. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked dish station at all times, ensuring the kitchen never runs short on clean product. Sort and pre-rinse incoming dishware, removing food waste and disposing of it properly. Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and correctly, reporting any malfunctions immediately. Restock clean dishes, glassware, and utensils to their designated locations in a timely manner to support line cooks and servers. Assist with sweeping, mopping, and deep cleaning of kitchen floors, walls, and surfaces throughout and at the end of each shift. Empty and manage trash and recycling throughout the shift, keeping the kitchen clear and sanitary. Support the prep and line team with basic tasks as needed and directed by the chef team. Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times. Assist with opening and closing kitchen cleaning duties as assigned. Clean and sanitize all guest and staff restrooms before service Restock paper products, soap, and other restroom supplies Sweep, mop and sanitize restroom floors, mirrors and surfaces Clean and sanitize all restroom fixtures, toilets and urinals Qualifications & Experience 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred. Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and kitchen sanitation protocols a plus. Ability to work quickly and consistently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment. Willingness to obtain food handler certification (ServSafe or equivalent) upon hire. Ability to stay organized and efficient under pressure in a fast-moving environment. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, work in a hot and wet environment, and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
