Job Title:
Dishwasher Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for rinsing and washing dishes by hand or using a commercial dishwasher, cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, trays, and kitchen equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and food prep surfaces. You will also be responsible for removing trash and maintaining sanitation standards in dish and kitchen areas, transferring supplies, and assisting with loading and unloading deliveries. It is essential to follow all safety and infection control procedures. Responsibilities Rinse and wash dishes by hand or using a commercial dishwasher. Clean and sanitize pots, pans, trays, and kitchen equipment. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and food prep surfaces. Remove trash and maintain sanitation standards in dish and kitchen areas. Transfer supplies and assist with loading and unloading deliveries. Follow all safety and infection control procedures. Essential Skills Experience in foodservice or retail is advantageous. Customer service orientation. Knowledge of food prep and safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous dishwashing or food service experience preferred but not required. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work is conducted on the 2nd shift, from 4 pm to 9 pm, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays. Rotating weekends are required, and you must be open to overtime. The position is located in the main Lancaster General hospital. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
