Prep Cook Job Summary:

The Dishwasher / Prep Cook is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen while assisting with basic food preparation tasks. This role is essential to ensuring smooth kitchen operations by supporting cooks and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas Dispose of trash and keep waste areas clean and sanitary Assist with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing simple recipes Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Keep floors clean and free of hazards (sweeping and mopping as needed) Assist cooks and kitchen staff during busy service times

Qualifications:

No prior experience required; kitchen experience is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic understanding of food safety practices (or willingness to learn)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds Comfortable working in hot, wet, and busy kitchen conditions

Work Schedule:

Flexible hours, no sundays, always 2 days off per week and no holidays

Compensation:

Hourly wage (based on experience) Opportunities for growth within the kitchen team

Work Environment:

wholsale food service setting, this is not a full service restaraunt Exposure to heat, water, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
