Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient food service environment. Your dedication to cleanliness and safety will directly contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support the kitchen team. Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain a clean dining environment. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy items such as large pots or crates of supplies. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in compliance with kitchen health and safety standards. Support food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety management practices are upheld at all times. Skills Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and sanitation standards within a restaurant or food service environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Experience with dishwashing equipment and basic kitchen tools such as knives, scrapers, and cleaning supplies. Strong attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and following health & safety regulations. Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
