• Rotating Holidays General Summary Performs a variety of routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food, along with cleanup tasks, including provides outstanding customer service to patients, staff, and visitors; cleans up after meals following established practices and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions:

Alerts supervisor to problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies. Detects and reports spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, or other unusual conditions. Carries dishes and foods between kitchen and serving lines and serves food as directed. Operates dishwasher or manually washes all dishes and utensils in accordance to established policies and procedures. Participates in post-meal cleanup tasks as assigned or directed. Collects, processes, and disposes of trash, cans, bottles, and similar debris and transports to disposal area.

Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Participates in training, educational programs and in-service meetings. Provides outstanding customer service to all patient, staff and customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Wipes off counters and tables; arranges, rearranges, and replenishes items as needed. Cleans the kitchen area and cooking utensils. Operates cash register, as needed, including receiving payment from visitors and staff, balancing the cash drawer after each meal and compiling information for required reports. Qualifications Minimum Education:

None Required High School Diploma or GED Preferred Work Experience:

Up to 1 month experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to read, write, understand and speak English at a level which enables the individual to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job. Excellent interpersonal/communications skills and customer service skills. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures.
