Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Duties Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods. Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Assist in the organization of kitchen areas by properly storing clean dishes and utensils. Help with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and assisting culinary staff. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sweeping and mopping floors as necessary. Support catering and banquet services by ensuring timely cleaning of service items. Follow food handling guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods. Requirements Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of basic food handling practices is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 pounds). Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
