Duties Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas are organized and stocked with necessary supplies. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed. Support the catering team by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for events or banquet functions. Help with bussing tables during busy service periods to ensure a clean and welcoming dining environment. Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health and safety standards at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Familiarity with basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy trays or pots. Strong attention to detail to ensure all dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, and catering support is advantageous. Prior banquet experience or culinary background can be a plus but is not required.
