Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This energetic position ensures that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use, supporting the overall flow of food preparation and service. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help uphold our high standards of food safety and sanitation, creating a welcoming space for both staff and guests. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and prepping ingredients when needed. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas to ensure compliance with sanitation standards. Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, boxes of supplies, and other kitchen items safely following proper handling techniques. Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Collaborate with culinary staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes and utensils for food service operations. Requirements Prior experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable. Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic food prep tools efficiently. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, perform heavy lifting safely, and perform manual handling tasks regularly. Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards including proper food handling techniques. Excellent organizational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail.
