Position Summary Southern Hospitality Company, an entity of Southern Land Company, is headquartered in Nashville, TN is seeking a dishwasher to open our new Italian restaurant, Lupo Notte. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, in a fast-paced work environment. The Dishwasher involves cleaning and sanitizing kitchenware and equipment, emptying trash, and maintaining a clean work area. Key responsibilities include scraping, rinsing, and loading dishes into a dishwasher, hand-washing pots and delicate items, and putting away clean dishes and utensils. Dishwashers also perform other cleaning and sanitation tasks, and may assist with basic food preparation Essential Duties Washing and sanitizing: Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils using a commercial dishwasher or by hand.

Loading and unloading:

Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the machine, and unload and put away clean items in their proper storage locations.

Maintaining cleanliness:

Keep kitchen floors swept and scrubbed and ensure all equipment and work areas are clean and orderly.

Waste disposal:

Remove trash from bins and clean them as needed.

Supply management:

Maintain the correct amounts of detergents and rinse agents and report any issues with the dishwashing machine to a Chef/Sous Chef. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent multitasking ability. Problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Organizational skills. Calm under pressure. Able to maintain restraint in stressful situations. Ability to understand English to a level to properly understand assigned tasks. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience working in a restaurant preferred. Physical Demands Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Works in non-weather high temperatures.
