Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and contributing to a smooth operation in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of trash. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients. Support banquet services by ensuring all necessary items are clean and ready for service. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food service operations, including bussing tables and serving customers is a plus. Knowledge of culinary practices and food preparation techniques is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration within the hospitality team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
