This is for full-time, peak-load, temporary employment.
Duties include:
This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation within our food and beverage division. Stewards thoroughly wash and neatly store all the serving silverware, cookware and utensils utilized in food preparation and service. Stewards will be responsible for thoroughly and efficiently washing dishes, pots, cookware and utensils in compliance with Omni's high sanitation standards, responsible for breaking down trays from banquets and the outlets, responsible for delivering clean cookware and serving ware to various outlets and meeting rooms, responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation, responsible for neatly storing all dishes, cookware, and utensils in their proper location, assist prep positions as needed by utilizing knowledge of Texas health code, including color-coded cutting boards and black nitrile gloves. The worker will help with kitchen cleanup, food storage, and inventory management to support chefs and ensure smooth kitchen operations. Special Skills Requirements:
Stewards must have the ability and willingness to stand for 8 hours at a time; ability and willingness to push pull or lift up to 50 lbs.; ability and willingness to bend, stretch, and reach; ability to work cohesively as part of a team; and the ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes working on weekends and holidays. Food safety certification required . No prior experience or education is required. Previous experience in stewarding is strongly preferred. Basic English speaking skills required.

Applicants must complete an employment application. Must pass a post-employment criminal background check, paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. The pay is $16.65 per hour with overtime available at $24.98 per hour, based on hourly rate. The work schedule is as follows: 35 hours a week. Monday to Sunday. Shifts vary and consist of 8-hour schedules. AM shifts may run from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while the PM shift runs from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Days off will vary each week. The requested temporary workers will be based at 1300 Houston St., Fort Worth, TX 76102 in Tarrant County. The employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the worksite. Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is biweekly. Employers will make all deductions required by the law. Employer will offer housing for workers with a biweekly deduction of $350.00-$400.00. The offered housing is optional for workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced, but this is subject to change.
