Full-Time Position Summary The Dishwasher / Steward supports the Food & Beverage operation by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across all kitchen and service areas. This role ensures that all china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and ready for service, contributing to overall operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dish room, kitchen areas, and back-of-house spaces Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize china, glassware, and utensils Sort, stack, and properly store cleaned items Clean and maintain dish machines, workstations, and surrounding areas Remove trash and keep waste areas clean and organized Assist with deep cleaning tasks including floors, walls, and service areas Support kitchen team as needed to maintain smooth operations Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards Qualifications Prior experience in a kitchen or stewarding role preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Basic communication skills to follow instructions and interact with team members High school diploma or GED preferred Skills & Competencies Strong work ethic and reliability Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support multiple areas Attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail Ability to follow procedures and safety standards Certifications & Requirements Minimum age: 18+ Food Handler Certificate required Ability to meet grooming and uniform standards, including slip-resistant footwear Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to perform repetitive tasks including bending, reaching, and lifting Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment About Horseshoe Bay Resort Horseshoe Bay Resort is a premier destination located on Lake LBJ in the Texas Hill Country, offering luxury accommodations, dining, golf, and recreational amenities in a dynamic resort setting.
