Job Description
Job Summary As a Dishwasher/Busser your role in maintaining a clean, organized environment for our guests. In this position, you will support the kitchen staff by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. You could also assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and upholding food safety standards. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures. Clear tables quickly and efficiently, removing used dishes and silverware to maintain a tidy dining area. Reset tables with clean linens, utensils, and condiments to prepare for new guests. Follow all sanitation and health standards to ensure the cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety management protocols. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Support the overall cleanliness of the restaurant by sweeping, mopping floors, wiping surfaces, and maintaining a sanitary environment in line with kitchen health and safety standards. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Knowledge of food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen safety standards is highly desirable. Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning tools safely. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items comfortably. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues. Prior banquet, catering, hotel, or culinary experience can enhance your fit for this role.
