This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly sanitized and ready for use. Previous experience in food service, is preferred but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable kitchen and culinary experience in a fast-paced environment. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment Support food preparation tasks such as basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure compliance with health and safety standards Ensure proper storage of clean items to prevent cross-contamination Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods Skills Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting Ability to operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently Basic understanding of food handling and safety regulations Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Flexibility to adapt to various tasks such as bussing or assisting in food preparation when needed A positive attitude and reliability are essential for success in this role
