Dishwasher Job Purpose Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation for plateware, glassware, flatware, cooking utensils, and all smallwares by using the dish machine and/or manual cleaning methods. Maintains the dish machine and area and ensures it is clean, safe, and sanitary. Duties and Responsibilities Washes plateware, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by dish machine or by hand Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the dishware Replaces all clean plateware, glassware, flatware, and smallwares in the appropriate area Details floors, garbage cans, walls, and coolers Removes trash from kitchen and places in dumpsters Organize and put away deliveries and supplies Assist with prep when necessary Sets up and/or breaks down dish machine and area ensuring the floors remain dry Notifies manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures Follows company cash handling policies and procedures Follows all sanitation and safety policies Maintains valid state and local food handlers and alcohol certifications when applicable Advises Restaurant Manager/General Manager/Regional Director of any non-routine situations Qualifications Must have knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures Must keep work areas clean and safe at all times Must be respectful of all guests, managers, team members, and vendors Physical Requirements Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lb. Must be capable of constant walking, standing, and repeated stooping Must have manual dexterity and be able to reach hands and arms in all directions and be able to perform twisting motions with wrists Must have vision abilities that include distance, color, depth, and peripheral If you need any accommodation from Genghis Grill to enable you to perform essential job functions, please notify us Verbal and Reasoning Requirements Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to co-workers and managers.
